I love Outkast, and adore anything and everything Andre Benjamin. I thought that “Hey Ya” was not only a great song, but the video was brilliant in both concept and execution. Just when you think that it can’t be improved upon, or wouldn’t imagine this song as anything that wasn’t top 40, along comes this beautiful version by Matt Weddle of Obidiah Parker. The slower tempo and chord changes turn this happy dance tune into a haunting tribute.
